Film lesson: "Mountains of the Moon"

In 1854 the explorers were sent from England by the Royal Geographic society. They went to find where the Nile River began. In Africa they faced many hardships. For example, bugs and mosquitoes which carried certain disease such as malaria and yellow fever and it killed many Europeans (Explorers). On the nights while they were sleeping the mosquitoes used to go into their ears. Some other guy would come with hot water and pour it on his ear so that way the mosquitoes would die and the victim was screaming when they poured the hot water. They also found a group of people that used to torture them. They used to stab them and used to cause them a lot of harm. They escaped from them and at the end they found the Nile River. They were happy and took showers.

Why did we do the Imperialism Project? Explain what you learned and remembered from the project. Be specific and use detail in your answer.

We did the Imperialism Project because that was one of the assigments that were due. Also we did it because we had to learn something from it. I learned about new countries and what goods they used to have. For example some countries had gold, silver, tea, and in the new world there were slaves. I also remember that I colored in some countries.

Karl Marx and Communism

In January 1846 Marx Communist Correspondence Committee. Communist is a system where every one its treated the same. Meaning if there's a doctor and there's a pizza guy they both get payed the same so that way no one would take advantage of anyone else. Meaning no one would be treated by the higher class or the lower class. Every one is the same class and that's how Communist was. So that's why there's no class problems. The higher class couldn't say nothing wrong to the low class because they got payed the same amount of money. He believe that religion was "an opiate for the masses". He thought that the religion was what got people crazy. That's Communism and that's what Karl Marx thoughtful ideas were.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

Definition:
Nationalism is the belief that one's greatest loyalty should not be the king to a king or an empire but to a nation but to a nation of people who share a common culture and history.

I'm a nationalistic because I share two cultures and that basically makes me nationalism. My parents are from South America and I was born in North America. There's two different cultures. When it's November I celebrate the turkey day and also when its July four I also celebrate it. But when its my other cultures holidays I also celebrate it. I really think that's what shows that I'm nationalistic.
Italy was not a independent culture and then it became to be a nationalism meaning free culture(freedom).

John Locke and "The Enlightenment"

The right that Jefferson is talking about is that all man are equal and that the government has equal power. People have the right to do anything and be a good citizen. They have the right to have liberty and happiness, they also have the right to be safety and happy. They also have to protect theirs rights. All the men from the government should get the power from the people. Lock said that people are born with natural rights as well as liberty. What they both wrote came from the same idea that people were born with the rights.

Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method

Scientific Revolution is when the people started moving to another religion. For example if some one was in the catholic religion and that person moved to another religion, that's called scientific revolution. Scientific revolution affected all the people that was charged from another religion. I think that every one should have their own freedom to choose their own religion.
The scientific method is when you search for information in the Internet. Then you have to make hypothesis. After that you use the hypothesis to make predictions. Then you test those experiment for reference. Then repeat the steps and see if the hypothesis was right.

Evolution vs. Creation

Evolution is when the nature was created it self. For example, People say that we became from a monkey. Monkeys got became humans in centuries and that's how we became humans. The plants and animals were made by it self. That everything just appeared all of the sudden.
Meaning some how the monkey got developing and became humans.
The creation theory says that god made us. At the beginning god made Adam and Eve to be fruitful and have as many kids they could so that way the world be created. Then god made night and day so did he made animals and tress.
I believe in the creation theory because there's no way the world was created its self. I think that god made the world. That's my believe and no one will change what i believe on. I also think that god had many reasons for us to be alive and I believe on him.
